As a reliable partner for pioneering multi-sensor-multi-effector c-UAS systems, HENSOLDT is strengthening the drone defence capabilities of the German Federal Police.
Taufkirchen, 16.04.2026 – Sensor specialist and solution provider HENSOLDT has been commissioned by the German Federal Police to supply detection and verification vehicles against unmanned aircraft systems (c-UAS vehicles). The highly mobile and rapidly deployable c-UAS vehicles will significantly expand the German Federal Police's capabilities for the safe detection, verification and, if necessary, defence against drones that deliberately or negligently pose a threat to sensitive or critical infrastructure.
The self-sufficient vehicles can be deployed flexibly and quickly in a variety of scenarios, ensuring needs-based surveillance and the precise initiation of appropriate countermeasures.
The vehicles include an operator station as well as various mission-specific sensors and effectors that are either integrated into the vehicle or deployed separately from the vehicle to ensure maximum protection. The Elysion Mission Core software developed by HENSOLDT, which has proven itself in numerous missions, is the heart of the overall system. It fuses all sensor data in real-time and provides a comprehensive situational picture enabling a quick and agile response to potential threats. Elysion also accesses data from other networked systems to secure the airspace via capable interfaces as required.
As the general contractor in this project, HENSOLDT's c-UAS team is responsible for integrating the IT, including the Elysion Mission Core software, and the sensors and effectors into the vehicles. The vehicles are being assembled by a specialised partner in accordance with the customer's specifications.
This will significantly expand the German Federal Police’s capabilities in the course of the year, increasing protection against threats from drones, for example at airports, in critical infrastructure areas or at major events.
At the same time, HENSOLDT is underlining its ability to provide tailor-made c-UAS system solutions, also for highly mobile applications, and is making an important contribution to the sustainable enhancement of internal security.

3,000 body cameras will enhance officers safety and transparency during interactions
BERLIN – March 26, 2026 – Following a European-wide open tender process, Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) has been awarded a contract to equip Police Berlin and the Berlin Fire Department with 3,000 body cameras. The V500 body cameras have been used by police and fire services in Berlin on a daily basis since the end of 2025. With this first joint procurement by a police and fire department, both public safety organisations join a growing network of emergency services across Europe that rely on Motorola Solutions' body cameras.
Last year, approximately 10,000 police officers, firefighters, and other emergency personnel — including members of Police Berlin and Berlin Fire Department — fell victim to violent offenses while on duty in the federal capital. The introduction of body cameras underscores the goal of Berlin's public safety organisations to increase frontline safety, transparency of interactions, as well as capturing evidence.

The Motorola Solutions V500 body cameras are provided alongside the highly configurable VideoManager evidence management software. This software is integrated directly into the forces' internal IT infrastructure, allowing officers to quickly upload, securely store and efficiently manage video footage as part of their existing daily workflows.

The Pronto mobile policing solution will provide the force with a unified digital app that integrates Cumbria Constabulary’s records management and computer-aided dispatch systems.
LONDON, March 11, 2026 – Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) today announced a new, 10-year contract with Cumbria Constabulary to deploy the Pronto digital policing solution across the force’s 1,300 front-line officers. Pronto will combine the constabulary’s public safety processes into a single digital app to minimise the time and effort dispatchers and officers spend searching for and inputting information.
“Putting our incident dispatch, database search and records management functions at the fingertips of our officers in one, easy-to-use mobile solution is critical, ” said Chief Superintendent Matt Kennerley at Cumbria Constabulary. “Our force covers one of the largest geographical areas in the UK, and with Pronto, our officers can work more safely and effectively in our communities and deliver better outcomes for the public.”
Pronto’s emergency dispatch notifications guide officers to the scene of an incident more quickly and relay critical information for a better-informed response. The app can rapidly query key local, national and international police databases from handheld devices, whilst recording evidence-grade electronic notes, reports, fingerprints and photographs. Officers are able to file police reports directly from where they are, as opposed to returning to a police station – a potentially huge time-saving in expansive rural areas such as Cumbria.

Today’s announcement brings the total number of daily Pronto users to over 75,000 front-line officers across 24 of the U.K.’s 45 territorial police forces. Most recently, Lancashire Constabulary extended its Pronto contract into the 2030s, with 77% of its officers saying the app has simplified their daily duties.
Every year in the U.K., Pronto supports over 250 million digital interactions with police dispatch systems, 18 million searches against the Police National Computer and the completion of more than 4.9 million crime, intelligence and witness reports. The app seamlessly integrates with other policing technologies, including Android Auto, to enable navigation via police vehicle dashboards without additional vehicle fit-outs, and Motorola Solutions’ V500 and VB400 bodyworn cameras, to streamline officers' evidence collection.
