Symposium on Access Protection + Vehicle Barriers 2023

Access protection, protection of critical infrastructers, events and urban areas

Continuation in October 2023 in Stuttgart, Germany

This information and training event, which has been greatly enriched in terms of content and internationally, will now be continued as a symposium on access protection in October 2023 in order to once again cover the urgent need for this unique event.
The participants are trained through sustainable knowledge transfer about standard-compliant access protection in order to assess current requirements and threats in their environment and to professionally evaluate external service offers in order to ultimately be able to contribute to the effective prevention of crossing offenses. The symposium offers a didactically prepared, unique lecture program by national and international experts, which provides more than just information, but also provides a comprehensive overview, exemplary practice and tangible knowledge.

Vehicles are increasingly being used for terrorist attacks in order to rush into crowds or to destroy buildings and facilities. Driving amok, speeding and losing control of the vehicle represent another hazard.

The aim of this symposium is therefore to introduce and train participants from the circles of the police, other security and municipal authorities and organizations in a well-founded, structured and didactically comprehensible manner in the topic of "access protection". We guarantee this through the selection of topics and the practical examples of the respective experts. The strategic intention is to use this symposium to improve the quality of current and future physical access protection measures in public space, to give the actors and decision-makers such a solid basic understanding that they can be available to the cities and municipalities as official contacts for planning and implementation of access protection measures at an early stage on the meta level and to accompany them in a spirit of partnership. The police is an essential, flanking actor of the target group of this symposium. The broader the basic police understanding of the topic, the more reliably the police can provide information and, if necessary, act in projects.

This unique, now fifth information event since 2017 focuses on these problems and serves the current exchange of information, education, the transfer of expertise and networks.

Our symposium 2022 event was attended by more than 110 participants from 4 countries.

The conference language is mainly German and partial English, but no simultaneous translation.
